My absolute favorite flower. They smell so feminine and delicate, like an ultra femme perfume. Whenever I see peony as a note in a fragrance, I'm usually intrigued.
What a beautiful photo! mmmmm, my favorite flower at the moment. Once i get into my new home... 2 weeks, eeeeee I hope to be planning these for my garden. Happy weekend to you!! callie
These flowers are just amazing! Thank you for sharing these beautiful images. I also wanted to stop by and say THANK YOU for coming to visit my blog during my "Celebrating Marie Antoinette" event. I appreciated your comments and it's so nice to meet others who are also interested in our dear Antoinette! Have a beautiful day ~ xo Joy
I love peonies! I'm hoping to try my hand at growing them here. A market at the foothills of the Alpilles mountains.... oh my, what a delicious thought! What a delightful life you have Miss Vicki! Happy weekend! joan
OH my aching back - all for the love of the Peony. I have been raking and cleaning for days --mine are just a 1/2 inch up.....we are expecting rain and that will help. I hate the wait.
Thank you for beautiful images! Love both lilac and peonies! I've seen lilac at the flower market here in Hong Kong only once in about 8 years that I've lived here, and they were so expensive. I didn't buy them, just tried to inhale as much of the so-dear-to-me scent as I could and remember it. Vickie, thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a lovely comment, I appreciate it! And I did decorate my Easter bread and colored eggs :-)
Peonies are way up the top of my "Favourite flower's list". They are getting harder and harder to buy over here in Australia. The market in Eygalieres sounds heavenly!!
Oh how I hope mine blooms this year! The plant is in its third year - last year it didn't produce but I am hoping. Peonies are so beautiful and they smell heavenly.
Oh Vicki! Peonies have always been my absolute favorite flower. They are gorgeous! I really wanted to have them at my wedding and like a Bridezilla had to have them flown in from Europe because they were not in season here! I love this image, so pretty! Have a wonderful new week! xoxo Judith~
Peonies are my absolute favorites and I planted like a hundred of them in our garden hoping that at least a few would actually make it. (I do NOT have a grand thumb.) And much to my surprise, they actually just started to make their appearance! :)
Ooooh........breathaking! And so not fair! I can't wait for my peonies. Enjoy your weekend surrounded by peonies and lilacs!

ReplyDeletePeonies are my favorite flower. My mother has a peony garden with many varieties. I wish they lasted longer; their bloom season is so short here.
