Parisian girls are cute from a very young age.. Non? Look at her puffer jacket, cute boots and chic bonnet... Even her little foot tucked so daintily on the edge of her scooter is adorable... Which gets me to thinking about my girls... even though they are a lot older... they are just as lovely... and I can't help but spoil them over the holidays.
What to give the girls for Christmas? I have a traditional stash that I choose from, gifts that they have come to love and to associate with me at Christmas time... Some of them fill their stockings and some 'Santa' delivers under the tree... either way we are all believers... and those who don't believe, don't receive...
This is what I'm thinking...
* A scented bougie for their bedroom
* Bath salts for their relaxation
*Handcream for their travels
*Nail varnish for their parties
*A lipstick to match
*Books for quiet time
*Films for their amusement
*Notebooks for their handbags
*Gloves for the winter
*Jewels because every girl loves a little bling
*Chocolates and sweeties because it's Christmas
*Underwear because it's feminine
*Baskets because girls can never have to many
*Linen handkerchiefs because they are so pretty
*Tights because they always take mine
*French caramels because they are the best
*Their favourite fragrance
*Lipgloss for their handbag

Today I will be sending Slim, Tina, Meg, Teresa, Virginia and Teddee some Christmas cheer... I will be emailing you later in the day for your postal details... and in the meantime... Have a gorgeous 15th December.... xv

ReplyDeleteI know that I say this every year, but would you be willing to adopt me? Just for the holidays? I'll even come help clean up in the kitchen! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny Vicki, Santa seems to think that our girls and mine like exactly the same goodies - stockings are my favourite bit of Christmas!

Vicki - too funny!! I have bought quite a few of the EXACT same things for my girls' and sister's stockings!! And may I please make a small blogging suggestion - it would be so nice if all the links opened in a separate window - because you know we all want to stay on your page!!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely list - it's so much easier to buy for girls! We all still believe and hang up our stockings (and a pillow case too!)

ReplyDeleteTough times for mums. Best wishes, Rosanna
Dear Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to forward this list to the men in my life. They seem stumped when it comes to gifts and this seems like the perfect list to me. Although I have to admit I was in complete awe when my younger boy made a donation to my favourite charity in my honour...it is the best gift for a gal who has everything!
Thanks for the list, have a few very stylish nieces to buy for, and havent done too much! That picture is soooo sweet, love her little pose:)
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that you adopted me...... I shall be waiting for my gift bounty patiently. Lucky girls to have a mom who is so thoughtful and keeps them well gifted (and supplied). Love the daily click today, so cute. Much love XO
ReplyDeleteVicki-
ReplyDeleteI know that your daughters know just how lucky they are to have such a lovely mother. Daughters are so very precious.
You are one of the most kindest of all people I know, Vicki. You bring all of us cheer and beauty every day.

Vicki,
ReplyDeleteAs the mom of 2 sons with 1 daughter-in-law and one due to join the family at a wedding next fall...I appreciate the list. I've bought for men for so long I've forgotten what young ladies like!

Your photo of the little girl made my eyes a bit moist. I guess many mothers still remember their daughters as little girls at Christmastime, and how much fun it was buying gifts for them. But it's fun now, too, and your lovely list presents some great options that any woman would love! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAWWWWWWW
ReplyDeleteto sweet. i wish mine were doing that instead niteclubs
Girls are so easy to buy for - there are so many little things that make us smile, usually it is the most simple things too in my house. A Coke Chupa Chup would be a small thing that my daughter will be happy to find in her stocking. But the Perfume, skin creams, books and movie tickets from Santa will be very appreciated as well.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and thank you for all the wonderful dreamy photos Vicki. Happy Holidays
I wish I had a mom like you. My mother "can't be bothered" shopping for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Vicki!
Vicky your list has everything a girl could wish for, whether she is 5 years old as the little madam in your picture or a 50 something woman. We never outgrow certain little luxuries!
ReplyDeleteooh lucky girls what a great list & one of my favourite movies :))

How sweet, and she even matches the aubergine wall colour! Those earrings you've mentioned are gorgeous ~ if only all of those lovely long dangley earrings came in clip-ons, too.
