golden threads and a favourite carol...

I have always loved this Christmas carol and can never remember all the lines... so now 'the Twelve Days of Christmas' will be on my screen and I have no excuses... It's very nearly the weekend... and that means final shopping and wrapping for me...

    My younger daughter and I were singing this in the car the other day - we got stuck at nine - so thank you!! And I can't even tell you what I ate yesterday - let's just say you would have thought I was celebrating National Chocolate Day!

    Beautiful picture ... I love the song as well ... what a coincidence, I just created a 12 Days of Christmas on Pinterest .... it was fun. Happy Wrapping, doing that and a few Christmas cards today.

    Hi Vicki, I love the photo of the antique gold threads. I have just bought (Ebay, I do love you) many lengths of vintage/antique French metallic trim for a new line of pillows that are in the works. How wonderful to see the magic threads before they were turned into even more gorgeous French details.

    The only Christmas song where I could actually hold a note...........way easier than Silent Night! Hope you get all your list done this weekend Vicki. I had a good sleep last night so ready to go today and get this big meal on it's way. Chat next week. XO

    ps my first job in nyc was working at a place called 'peartrees' on e 49th and 1st ave
    my first and last day working there
    was on a Christmas eve night and it was snowing... i was so sad because i was 18 and trying to make alone in the city.
    that was a lonely holiday for me.
    and
    i wouldn't dare admit to my family that i had made a mistake moving there - or ask for help.
    i am glad i didn't
    because living in nyc turned out to be the happiest days of my life.

    I love the song too, but can only get through 4 verses before I get the gifts mixed up.
    This is the magical time of the season for me...I'm far enough along to relax and enjoy!

    I've saved all the sites, especially love the perfume one!!
    I've used Chanel #5 for far too long - time for a change - something evocative and very feminine!!!
    I'm going back to France in April to meet our new grandaughter and I will take your list of perfumes with me!!!

    *** Vicky, the very MINUTE I saw this pic, I envisioned it as a Christmas vignette.... dusted w/ "snow", a candle or two and a golden, non-glittery angel or bird... Wish I HAD these threads~~~ they're ENCHANTING!!!
