Ranunculus - in all their pink glory. Also known as Buttercup and Coyote's eyes - in flower talk a gift of ranunculus suggests that you are dazzled by someone's charms.

Having to wear trakky pants!! and brave the colder weather gives me the creeps!!
sooo love your blogs re the warmer weather/flowers etc.. so just remember...winter in MELBOURNE can get crappy...even after our OVER the top HOT HOT summer... take care.. xx andrea from OZ!!
I have totally enjoyed your week of flowers...I particularly like the roses.... and yes!! I would dearly love to be back in Paris this year... but must wait until 2010!!!
Now, here's a flower that I know very well. Dear Vicki, outside of Carlsbad, CA there are huge fields of Rununculus, the Guther Gage Tecolote Ranch. Guther Gage was a British horticulturist in love with this flower who settled in Carlsbad to grow a certain variety of Rununculus called Tecolote. A must see if you are in Southern CA in April. I will be your hostess if you visit here!
I've been enjoying your virtual flower shop! We have no blooms here in the desert. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. When is your next book coming out?
if only we could smell all these glorious flowers...the markets must be heavenly to walk through with each of these lovelies outshining the next! Happy weekend!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog Vicki and for your kind words, they meant alot. And your beautiful flower posts have really brightened my week! Bless you! hugs from Perth Jen xo
I hope blooms feature heavily in your new book. I loved the various arrangements which were captured in 'My French Life', I'm delighted to know we were all looking at your handiwork. I'm about to spend the morning shivering on the rugby sidelines, so thanks for the spring-y images!
Oh really? I didn't know that! Ranunculus are one of my favourite flowers, so thank you. Have a dazzling weekend yourself :-)

ReplyDeleteCoyote's Eyes. I've never heard that before. What a wonderful name.
ReplyDeleteYou are most fortunate in your flower selection. I would have my house filled to bursting with all these magnificent beauties!
I think the ranunculus is an underrated flower, don't you? Not as beautiful as a rose or a peony, but beautiful nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colors the flowers have!! Thank you for your kind note and the beautiful images :)

Simply breathtaking. I love the ethereal quality of the petals... sort of in the same vein as poppies & peonies to me.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color too.
I have yellow ranunculus in pots, they are a welcome sign of spring in overcast Seattle.
Thanks for sharing.
they are the best !!!
