Glamour Girls at the Globes

Forget the television series and the movies, I vote like this:

Best sunglasses - Jessica Lange
Best in Black - Evan Rachel Wood
Best in Pink - Penelope Cruz
Best Bracelets - Demi Mooore
Best Red Lips - Anne Hathaway
Best Behind - J Lo (always)

  1. Thanks for the post! We didn't have the Golden Globes on tv this year, much to my distress, so these photos were a good little peak at what I missed out on.

  4. Imagine what it feels like to be looked at with such care and eye for detail. I would be worried about my hair, weight, skin...you name it. I don't know how these 'glamour girls' manage. Your awards seem kinder than most. Jlo's entire back needs some sheer cloth to really flatter...just my humble opinion.

  7. I love how Kate Winslet looked. Part of it was her look and the other was her authentic happiness. Authenticity is rare at these events.

  8. Under all of that glam is just a person. We could all look that glamorous if we had the make-up and hair experts, the jewels, and clothes and don't forget the cosmetic surgeons.

    Love Drew's dress.

  11. How we envy these glamour godesses......
however, to me, life in rural France seems the epitome of bliss.
We just moved back from 2 years in Morocco where I had to work on my horrible French.....

sounds like Inspector Clouesea trying to say happiness....!

  17. Critics have said Drew looked like a hot mess or that her hair was caught in a sand storm. I agree with some of you. I thought she look fab! Great awards! She's still so lovable.

  20. Lovely post...Drew Barrymore is catching a lot of flak for her hair, but I thought it was kinda retro sexy. And her dress was beautiful. And I loved Marisa Tomei's necklaces.

  22. I'm glad I wasn't invited to the event. Talk about pressure. All these women look like goddesses, and the clothes.. ahhh, sigh..

    Just my opinion.

  25. I love Drew Barrymore's John Galliano for Dior gray gown and Eva Longoria's long red gown the best. I wonder why you didn't feature Eva's.

  27. Didn't Evan Rachel Wood look lovely! I'm so happy that she's started dressing more her age (and less goth) since breaking up with marilyn manson.

tina fey also looked gorgeous--she sure cleans up beautifully! and anne hathaway is beautiful as always. all in all, a pretty good night for fashion!

  28. Hi Vicki- I love watching the awards for this very reason- the fashion! My best dressed award goes to Eva Longoria - a vision in red...

  29. I love Drew's hair!
It's that "Valley of The Dolls, I just Fell Out Of Bed Whilst Having Fabulous Sex" look.
Let's have a blog awards party, and dress red carpet!!!

  30. I really liked Evan Rachel Wood's look. And if Drew's hair were a little less, umm, mussed and poofed, I'd be in her camp too!
