I'm a little quiet today... under the weather with a massive flu or head cold... something unexciting and seriously unattractive... which means my creativeness has disappeared under a box of tissues and has been diluted by the hot water and lemon I am drinking by the gallon... Whatever the reason, my thoughts for today will have to take a back seat until later in the week...
But just so the page isn't lonely I will leave you with a great address for your Parisian notebook...
Tresor boutique
it's at the end of a lane/courtyard
on the corner of 28 Rue Vielle du Temple in the Marais
75004 Paris
You will love it... plenty of French temptation of the girly kind... xv

Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you aren't well but we're all sending warm wishes your way for a speedy recovery. Thank you for this little shop. I know I've walked that street a few times and am kicking myself for not seeing it. BTW, this last trip I had several shops that I had chosen form the book Paris Made by Hand. Two of the ones I dearly wanted to see would not allow photographs inside. I was very disappointed!

I love how the French have such a thing for paper art and papier maché. But then, that is their term, isn't it! I, too, have written down the address, and thanks. Do feel better, Vickie!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Sorry for the "e"!!! People are forever forgetting my "e", and now I add one to "Vicki"!! Blush!

Love the windows, and have been having a desire to make paper mache sculptures. Great timing. Vicki, add cayenne and fresh ginger to your hot water and lemon concoction. Ginger is a natural antibiotic, and the cayenne, a natural decongestant. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you're really spoiling yourself and that you soon feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the delightful pictures dear Vicki, especially when you are sick. I used to live nearby, on rue des Haudriettes. Back then the area was just beginning to change and see expensive renovations. I loved it, of course.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, very soon and don't forget to lotion your nose.
Get well Vicki! Your posts are a joy!
ReplyDeleteThese papier mache pieces are delightful. Wish I had a place for them at my breakfast table. Get well quickly, Vicki...we will all be sending you virtual hugs for your speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're on the mend soon, Vicki! Have you tried tossing some ginger root in with your hot water and lemon? I t always makes me feel better and helps to clear my sinuses.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these marvelous girls . . . and for the address. I'll add it to my list of "must-see" addresses for my Paris trip (Mr. Magpie has been mentioning Paris often lately. Hmmmmmmmmm . . . ) xo Gigi

Omigoodness, those are too cute. Trop francaise, right down to the tips of their red nails. I love them! And, I hope you feel better tout de suite, Vicki!

ReplyDeleteFabulous papier maché, divine. I worked with this amazing papier maché artist ida-rak.com/ when I was creating the Tiffany windows in London. Thought you would like to see her work
ReplyDeletethese images made my day !!!

Vicki, I can suggest a cure from the Southern USA (which I learned of from the long ago Jezebel's in NYC) which has never let me down: a real ginger tea: meaning shave fresh ginger and boil it along with a bit of diced fresh garlic, tons of honey as well as cayenne pepper and, depending on the time of day, a generous portion of rum to kill those germs!!!
