Steven Sprouse! What a flashback! I was crazy about him in the day and had lots of his pieces(Fluorescence in the 80's...and now we are re-visited. Somehow the brights don't look as flattering when you have a few more years on you!) I think a little scarf instead of head to toe wouldn't hurt though! Have a great and productive weekend preparing for your summer, it sounds divine. Here in Las Vegas we prepare also, but for the HEAT... Best, Nathalie
I've had Stephen and LV on the brain this week! Was actually trying to locate some old pics of my Stephen Sprouse Mink coat, circa 1986.... . from the outside just your typical Park Avenue ankle length black mink.
The best part was the surprise when the wind blew it open to reveal a Neon PINK lining.
Guess it was my little way of playing Punk Glam (but keeping it under wraps).
The scarf is so beautiful. My sister always wears scarfs with her outfits, weather it be, with a pair of jeans and a sweater, or one of her vintage gowns, when shes out dancing... she looks so sophisticated.
Thank you for the book recommendations on Italy, I will look for them. I am always looking for a good read, especially on my favorite topic.
Currantly, I await with great anticipation, the arrival of your book. It is on route as we speak.
Now theres a name that I haven't heard in forever..just dated myself oh well. I had one of those crazy prints of his in my bedroom...this is much better.
I love Stephen Sprouse...I remember discovering his shop on my first trip to NYC in 1984- it was the coolest!
I too will be wrapped in roses this weekend as a rainy week here has prompted all of mine to open up. My trellis is about to fall over from the weight of them!
When I was in Paris I was buying some yummy soaps to bring back as gifts and was trying to decide between fragrances...the man in the shop told me that rose was the scent of France ( funny I always thought it was lavender). So now every time I smell roses I think of my trip to Grande Paris. I'm off to go cut some bouquets and relive my trip once again!
Agreed--I love his rose splattered LV bags too, even though I'm not a big logo person, I'd love to have one because they're such a great combo of art/commerce. But the scarf, pure art--love!

That's a scarf that could easily fit in one's wardrobe with its intense colors. A bit like Warhol's photo silkscreens, no?
