I am thinking about food for the weekend...

  13. look at all those gorgeous veges, those artichokes look wonderful!! hmmm braised... in a chicken and English spinach salad with some lovely aged Balsamic --- YUMM!!

    Hope you are well Vicki, and thank you for popping in now and then to visit my blog, it really means so much to me!! - My absolute favorite book ever ever ever (if you say it three times then it is even more true!) is your "My French Life", I have read it over 50 times from cover to cover ....and kind of get lost in the pictures imagining that my family lived there too..... I hope that doesn't sound.. LOL!!

  16. How envious am I .... such gorgeous produce. That is one thing I miss here in Las Vegas, the markets. We do have our own garden,but still not the same. I ust got your book, it is an absolute treasure, so gorgeous, and your story is wonderful. I am taking my time, savouring it!

  26. I do so miss the French markets...I can just feel the sunshine, smell the herbs. Nothing like the finest artichokes and asparagus...and is that mache? Whatever it is, I am in total envy!

  31. Oh dear Vicki, I'd thought I'd stumbled across MOTH's secret blog for a moment, until I saw the word WEEKEND! His blog would be titled 'I am thinking about food 24hrs. a day'! He hasn't earnt the title of human seagull for nothing. When the kids where living at home, they had to 'ride shotgun' on each others half-emptied plates at dinner to protect it from MOTH's beady eyes & light fingers ready to snaffle left-overs in a nanosecond.

    Love all your green vegie pics - especially the asparagus, my all time favourite green. Have a super weekend enjoying all your market treats.
