How envious am I .... such gorgeous produce. That is one thing I miss here in Las Vegas, the markets. We do have our own garden, but still not the same. I ust got your book, it is an absolute treasure, so gorgeous, and your story is wonderful. I am taking my time, savouring it! I trust you will have a delicious green feast! Have a lovely weekend, Nathalie
That asparagus looks delicious - unfortunately none to be found in Melbourne at the moment! And I think I'd like a vase of those artichokes just so I sit & draw them!! Have a wonderful weekend, with lots of beautiful, green food. Lee :)
I do so miss the French markets...I can just feel the sunshine, smell the herbs. Nothing like the finest artichokes and asparagus...and is that mache? Whatever it is, I am in total envy!
You have no idea how delightful it is to read your last few posts ... I have been wrestling with (horrific) computer problems most of this week .... ah, you are good for my soul.
Olive oil, lemon juice & zest, sel de mer & freshly crcked pepper...I have all this, now I need your gorgeous produce!!!!! Enjoy the bounty & thank you for the delicious images.
Oh dear Vicki, I'd thought I'd stumbled across MOTH's secret blog for a moment, until I saw the word WEEKEND! His blog would be titled 'I am thinking about food 24hrs. a day'! He hasn't earnt the title of human seagull for nothing. When the kids where living at home, they had to 'ride shotgun' on each others half-emptied plates at dinner to protect it from MOTH's beady eyes & light fingers ready to snaffle left-overs in a nanosecond.
Love all your green vegie pics - especially the asparagus, my all time favourite green. Have a super weekend enjoying all your market treats. Millie ^_^
