A Gift Wrapped Life - That feather thing is an old collar that I have stuck on top of a hat stand. No reason - just another one of my eccentricities! xv
Ohhh Vicki! They are beautiful, I can smell them all the way across the pond. We are just getting some blossoms sprouting out of the earth this week. Thank you for the beautiful touch of Spring!!!:)
Oh Happy spring Vicki! Beautiful flowers. I love how your home is decorated :) Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for sharing your gorgeous Spring flowers with us! I can almost smell their scent! xoxo Judith~
Mmm...hyacinths are one of my all time faves! I love spring flowers in general---seeing them peeping out from the bare wintry ground is my favourite part of this season of renewal!
I feel better knowing there are hyacinths somewhere - and if they are anywhere on the planet they should be in YOUR garden! We awoke to a lovely snow and our own version of a Mistral . .. I'll light a fire and curl up.
Aww Vicki! Those blooms are the best. I love that you wrote about that. It is so special.. appreciating the little things it what counts! Have a fun weekend! - noel
Don't they have the best fragrance? I planted some in my Mother's garden last autumn and they are glorious now. You can smell them the minute you get out of the car in her drive.
Just gorgeous. I have tried without success to grow hyacinths a few times. I am going to have one more go this year, but I think Perth is just too hot.
How I wish I could go out and pick some blooms...we don't even have those lovely flower stands all over the place like they do in the bigger cities. Luckily the grocery store has a decent selection.
I used to have hydrangeas in my side yard, and I planted them so I could have some beautiful blooms to enjoy in late spring/early summer. Alas, only bush survived (the light/shade scenario was not ideal for them), and this lone survivor had to make way for the new puppy last year.
Hyacinths are one of my favorites. How can you not love something so beautiful that has such an amazing fragrance! I need to know the story about that feathered headpiece, Vicki. It's fantastic.
Thanks, and I hope You had a w.we too! Love hyacinths...their scente... Even if my balcony look a crowded street when they were blooming U can smell them over the pollution! It sounded like the revenge of the beautyness of nature. Ciao.
What a great textural photo...I would love to have a millners stand like that- What a fresh bouquet- and blessing to pick already..we are still getting snow! *Very nice to meet you*
Vicki ~ I just came in from the garden...my lilies are beginning to poke their heads up. And my muscari is just starting. Love grape hyacinth for an early shot of color. I am *so* excited for the season too! Thanks for dropping by.

Hyacinth are always the first at my house too and they smell soooo good. We had a snowstorm yesterday and it all melted today. Hopefully it is the last and spring will now be in full bloom. Have a great week! x Trina
