Sweeties are pretty compelling in France... Chocolates, candies, caramels, jellied fruits, nougats... they are all mouth watering and tempting... and more than ever at Christmas time. The French love their sweet treats for the holidays and the patisseries and chocolatiers know how to lead us astray and make us flirt with temptation...
I have found my favourites and you can order them HERE for Noel if you dare...
And as for Christmas decorations.... Today I will be sending them to Christina from Greige and Janet from French Blue.... Please email me your postal address at vicki@vickiarcher.com so I can send them on their way...
More Christmas trinkets will be coming to you on Friday... so please let me know you are there.... comment, tweet, like, follow... you know the drill.... xv

Oh my Vicki, they look divine. I could eat them all for dinner right now. Forget the veges! A-M xx
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat the French for taste both in the mouth and the eye! even the packaging does not dissapoint. Usually by the end of Christmas I feel like.... if I see one more thing to eat I'll explode! Perhaps just stop at those devine chocolats and leave it there xx Corrina.
ReplyDeleteEn regardant la photo de votre publication , j'en ai l'eau à la bouche!!!... Je suis si gourmande... après tout c'est bon pour le moral...
ReplyDeleteGrsos bisous
These look gorgeous - I'm a true chocoholic and have to have chocolate every day! I'm off to open the next window of my choclate advent calandar!

Ummmm, look delectable! x
ReplyDeleteNo I can't stop at one and they look amazing!
ReplyDeleteIf we are talking French chocolate then Fauchon and their beautiful pink boxes work for me but absolute favourite has to be the beautiful Haighs from Adelaide!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteIn California we have a candy maker by the name of See's. They've been around for ages but they are the best and Christmas just wouldn't be the same without See's. {Don't tell anyone, but I even like them better than the fancier, more expensive Godiva!}
We'll begin our payment plan for the calories spent in January. :-)

Oh, Vicki, chocolates are my absolute favorite indulgence, and these look divine! I'm already choosing my favorites (hello, little Earl Grey), and trying to resist clicking on that link . . . but you know I will give in! :D

Just viewing the picture of the chocolates makes my mouth water. I love sweets of all kinds! Still thinking about your Christmas decorations. If the truth be told I need to get off this computer and get busy doing my decorating!
ReplyDeleteOMG these look wonderful. When I was in Paris last year, I ate so much chocolate - the stores were so beautiful you couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that saves me is that I don't have a big sweet tooth. However, chocolate goes beyond mere sweets. :) I think that we are pretty lucky to have someone as talented as Joël Durand so close by, non?
ReplyDeleteOh la' la'. Why do all the beautiful, indulgent and desirable things seem to be connected to France? Even the chocolates seem stylish. Would love to transpose their 'knack' for creating attractive displays to my home.
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog! It makes me smile everyday. I hope to visit Paris with girlfriends in the Fall of 2012. Your generousity sharing Christmas is lovely.

ReplyDeleteI am an addict!
In the past several years, I have found my sweet tooth... or should I say, It Found Me! Talk about a mixed blessing... I am completely in love with chocolates now... and yes, I can't stop at just one either!
ReplyDeleteperhaps one a day... for many, many days... so sweet.
ReplyDeletemerci.
I possibly could stop at one ~ but why put myself through the hardship! Best I can do this afternoon is some plain organic dark chocolate but I'll use my imagination. Gorgeous, Vicki.
ReplyDeleteThe best chocolates I have had in all of France were from chez Henriet in Biarritz, a recipe perpetuated from the Jewish Inquisition... yes, that old.
