Styling is what I love to do.... thinking about a scene, sourcing what objects will work, finding the balance between the shapes and then layering them up to make the final vignette... I decide on the mood the image should take and from there gather together a handful of things that might sit well as a group...
Thrown together and waiting for their 'turn' in front of the camera.... I thought these beauties made a pretty cute scene...

Your stylings are beautiful, Vicki. I wish I could do things like this in my house, but I have three very bossy, very curious and very destructive cats. Anything new I put out for decor needs to be covered in a massive cloche or stuck to the surface with Earthquake Putty or it's on the floor in a minute!

PS. Thought of you--just back from working with my honey for some photo shoots just outside of Paris. The makeup artist was awesome and she said uncategorically: YSL Faux Cils Mascara and Bobbi Brown foundation (but for TV she uses Clinique).
Blogging enhances the joy of creating vignettes because one can simply snap several shots (or 50 to 100 in my case) and then share with likeminded blogging friends.
