I have a thing about banking....that is going to the bank and doing 'banky' things ....Can't say I like it......There is always a queue....no such thing in southern France as running in and running out....a bank visit requires a big chat....That doesn't mean that I don't like to chat...I do....just not at the bank. Internet banking.. you are thinking?? Not so much in my village....
But....there is one good...no great... reward when I visit my bank...and that is the 'house' across the road....Pretty isn't it?
Enjoy the view wherever you are.....Happy weekend.....xv

Oh would love to see more of that house!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend,
xxx
Beautiful photo and house!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful building and, typically French. I feel that it should be called something other than a house....it looks so grand.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like going to the bank...they always ask what am I doing with my money which I find really rude !!
One of the nice things about the UK is that some banks are in some of the most beautiful buildings. Worth a trip there just to go in and admire ! XXXX
Completely glorious. I wonder what it is like inside?
ReplyDeleteThat's a house? It's beautiful...I thought you were going to say that building was the only thing you liked about banking (thinking that was the bank). Pretty nice to have buildings like that in the neighborhood!

Very pretty. I'm with you on "banky things" - not something I love to do. But a lovely view improves just about any chore.
ReplyDeleteGoodness...I thought that photo was the bank itself!
ReplyDeleteThe view across the street from my bank is the entrance to the bridge over the river with really annoying beeping crosswalk lights.
I'll go elsewhere for my view this weekend - the trees are turning magnificent colors here in southern Minnesota and the weather promises to be gorgeous.
Dear Vicki,
ReplyDeleteIt is a sign of your charm that you can find something pretty to post about on a topic like banking! Have a happy weekend.
Dear Vicki. Have them move the bank inside that building and voilĂ , problem solved! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! This reminds me a lot of Aix. Lucky you, although I shouldn't complain with the gorgeous bit of Indian summer going on in London at moment...
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine? I love yours so much more though!
ReplyDeleteOh!!! to bank... "putting in"/ "taking out" either one is such a grand thing. Have never noticed what is across the street + Thanks, I will take a look. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
ReplyDeleteI too initially thought that this was the bank, but sadly some of the banks in Paris and around France now have those unsightly modern "fronts" with the company logo on the street level.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, who talks to you? Do you run into people you know in the town, do you try to get away, or does it simply take long for the clerk to chat up each customer?
You have me wondering what's going on in the bank Vicki!
Yes, "banky" things can be a bit tedious. Just wish I had such a lovely area to do my daily business in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home Vicki. Interesting I go in the bank once in a while, most is on the internet now....which reminds me..

Positively hate "banky" things too...........horribly so. Such a beautiful building if you must though. Many of our Canadian banks were in beautiful old buildings and then they build brand new ones that they consider modern and cutting-edge. They just don't get it here sometimes. Such a shame! Much love XO
ReplyDeleteVicki, this made me laugh because my immediate reaction was "Vicki does her banking in Arles?" as there is a very similar house across from several banks (including ours where I spend eternity, truly a 20 minute wait in line every singe time)--in Arles, it is for sale! Here is the link to an ad with those very annoying moving pictures:

I waited in line 30 minutes today at the bank to buy a savings bond for my granddaughter's birthday. There were no pretty houses across the street. ugh
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, The "House across the street" makes me dream of 18th c. France.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Enjoy the Fall. Mary
Oh dear Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI remember when I lived in Nice. To go to the bank was indeed a social affair, and even to MONOPRIX at times!!!! I long for that slower-paced life; my work is driving me crazy with hours of constant running around to meet the needs of 49 students. I need those magic star earrings as charms!!! I am looking out in the mail daily...thanks for your kind words my dear! Anita
It is lovely... inspires all kind of grand dreaming!
ReplyDeleteWooow! Wondering what is like inside...
ReplyDeleteMy bank doesn't have that view to sweeten the visits! If it did, my internet banking would miss me. I hope you're having a lovely weekend, dear Vicki. {Posting comment before leaving my keyboard this time!}
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty diversion; it's beautiful. I imagine it is an interesting place to look out from the inside too.
ReplyDeleteKeri
Beautiful!! I loved going to the bank with my mother when I was little - it was in a gorgeous old building with marble floors and columns and a safe deposit room full of stainless splendor worthy of James Bond!!
ReplyDeleteThat's the Bank?? Beautiful building!!
