she sells seas shells by the sea shore...

"The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells."

I hope your weekend is filled with thoughts of seashells and much sunshine......

  1. Hello Vicki

I love the cutie shells - I am a sucker for all shells - I have the most huge collection in a tall vase in my home. It took me years to collect some really exotic shells.

the 'she sells sea shells" got me trying it... I thought I could get a momentum going but stumbled after a few words :)

take care and such a pretty little photo

  11. Vicki, how pretty. You've just given me an idea of a way to use my very over-bought condition in shells I once thought I would use for jewelry. How wonderful to do a small piece, but a very important piece, like this. xx's

  14. Dear Vicki,
That's a tough tongue twister and thanks for the laugh. I wrote a post about my favourite things in Berlin - I wonder if our lists would overlap?
    Happy weekend.

  17. Being called Shelley and Shell, this takes me back to my school days when kids would often say this to me. Perhaps I missed my true calling... Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Vicki.

  18. Hi Vickie, This is my first comment I hope that it works. I am a novice at this and have waded through the maze without the help of Children[Adult)! I adore going to French Essence it makes my day to be carried away into your wonderful world. I bought My French Life a few years ago and feel in love with it.I stumbled across the blog in the House and Garden 2009 featuring your stunning home ready for Christmas. It has been an absolute joy to go onto your blog.I could wax lyrical for ever.
I was in Paris and Provence last July after a long time and fell totally in love all over again. The blog makes up for not being there.
I always get excited to see what you have in store for us.My son and his girlfriend have left Syd for a stint in London so I will visit them and Provence again. Happy Days to you in Provence. Trish

  19. I'm always bringing home shells but never get around to making what is in my mind at the time. I have a shoebox full of sea urchin shells which are beautiful, I intended to make a mobil from them but they are still in the shoebox. I love the lovely shiny ones in your post, especially as a photo frame. x

  20. Pretty - delicate sea-shells - they're beautiful but they're like us - if stepped on they crush easily

  21. I'm off to the Coast today, actually! And, to my own cache of Sea Shells that I intend to make into a frame for a small mirror...after I paint them pewter, of course. In between walks on the beach to pick up more sea shells...

  33. Those are so pearly-pretty! I did actually spend time by the shore this weekend - but it was Lake Washington in Minnesota, not the seashore. A friend and I had a writing date on the deck at the marina, sipped "lemonades" (with a little coconut rum to kick-start our writing process) and wrote for hours. I may have found my writing home away from home-office!

  34. It was full of seashells and shopping

  35. So this is where to post a comment! Thank you Vicky for all the gorgeous photos, comments and books. We stayed recently for a week in St Remy and went to many places you have written about - how wonderful to have the "insider's information" from you. Best wishes from Australia
