Not exactly Rodin's 'thinker' ...
I snapped this photograph as I walked along the banks of the river Seine. The way this sculpture appears to rise from the back of the boat deck, the layers of deep blue and murky green and the skyline of Paris above, as the young man crosses the bridge, struck a chord. One of those Parisian moments....xv

ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeletethis shot reminds me of a line from the remake of the move "Sabrina" . She tells Linus about the wall that goes from Isle Saint Germain to the Pont de Bercy that passes so many of the bridges, the point being to find one you love where you can go to listen to the river, and one would suppose, one's self.
ReplyDeleteEffectivement cette photo est incroyable et très surprenante... J'aime!
ReplyDeleteBravo!
gros bisous.
A Happy Solstice to you, Vicki! Wishing you a splendid time in Paris. And a wonderful summer!

What a striking image... You definitely have the eye Vicki and all of France seems to have so much inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDearest Vicki,
ReplyDeleteParisian moments die hard. I still live off of the residue of mine on balmy Texas days when laundry or groceries or other such minutia call. Paris has a singular, stratospheric pull, a power.
Many thanks for taking the time to comment over at Nero despite your Corsican escapades and the accompanying joys of summer ;)

LOVE your creative moment Vicki! I can hear the conversation in your mind as you approached and can sense the smile as you passed along. I know that feeling well. I hope someday they make a camera that allows you to voice record as you shoot...it is the remembering part that gets me! You have words and images meeting as one here. I love it! Hmmm...maybe if I take the photo and record my exact thoughts into my iPhone at the same time...that should be an interesting look! Then again, I am American...people would not be surprised by something like that :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Vicki...Mother and Daughter are doing fine, tremors and all :)
