a little french thread, some silk ribbon and a cup or two of pink porcelain....



These are the pretties that I found this past weekend at the brocante market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue. I wasn't looking for anything in particular - just enjoying an early morning promenade before the crowds rushed in - but somehow I came away all pink....these things happen....

    L'Isle sur la Sorgue market is firmly entrenched in my memories of france,also the paper watermill withfast flowing water,extreme traffic chaos ,, forgot the name if anyone knows please let me know.. about 4 years ago I think...memories

    Hello vicki

    You seriously have me glued to the photo.

    I am an absolute lover of pretty tea cups and pots etc.
    I think there is a past life something that comes out in me when I see these delicate and lady like items.

    I promise myself one day a lovely large tea set collection.

    Hi Vikki, such a pretty collection- funny my latest vignette includes a tiered cake stand full of fresh mandarins, some antique tea cups with browns, yellows and orange colour hues, some old books and a couple of yellow jugs. I love getting inspiration from one object and finding other things I own that complement it. You have done so beautifully with the pinks xx Corrina

    Thanks Vicki for reminding me about the charming town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue ... we spent a day there last year and after happily browsing the market stalls, enjoyed a very pleasant lunch at
    Le Jardin du Quai.
    Oh, and my favourite colour is pink and I adore old French ribbon and the thread reminds me of the patchwork shop I owned for 25 years - and finally, I think the earrings are very appealing too !!

    What wonderful pink treasures you came upon on your early morning walk. So pretty.
    Our daughter has just come back after celebrating her 30th birthday in Paris. She had fabulous meals, one up the Eiffel Tower and bought some lovely pieces in the antique market. It's alright for some !!!! haha. XXXX
