These are the pretties that I found this past weekend at the brocante market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue. I wasn't looking for anything in particular - just enjoying an early morning promenade before the crowds rushed in - but somehow I came away all pink....these things happen....
Don't forget to comment, follow or subscribe to French Essence (that way I know you're there) if you wish to be in the draw for the etoile earrings...xv

P.S. As you know we are doing a Giveaway…maybe you would want to mention it to your viewers with one of our pictures of the bees skeps. Just a thought! Know you are a blessing to us!
You have inspired me! The Isle sur la Sorgue market is now on my weekend wish list. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Who could resist such vibrant pinks? they still look new after all these years!
ReplyDeleteHi Vikki, such a pretty collection- funny my latest vignette includes a tiered cake stand full of fresh mandarins, some antique tea cups with browns, yellows and orange colour hues, some old books and a couple of yellow jugs. I love getting inspiration from one object and finding other things I own that complement it. You have done so beautifully with the pinks xx Corrina
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki for reminding me about the charming town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue ... we spent a day there last year and after happily browsing the market stalls, enjoyed a very pleasant lunch at
ReplyDeleteLe Jardin du Quai.
Oh, and my favourite colour is pink and I adore old French ribbon and the thread reminds me of the patchwork shop I owned for 25 years - and finally, I think the earrings are very appealing too !!
Have a sunny day - it's raining here in Perth,

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that gets swayed by lots of pink things. I don't think that I've always been like that. There must be something very girly in us somewhere!

ReplyDeleteDear Vicki,
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE your frenchie pink findings! The stroll and fresh morning air is truly why I get out to any of the fleas & brocantes these days too, but if I can walk away with a small handful of treasures it makes me smile even more~

ReplyDeleteI love anything pink, especially transferware. It's all lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe pink thread with it's brilliant shine is just fascinating. As for the lovely, delicate cups, a pot of "Mariage Freres" French Breakfast tea would serve them
ReplyDeletevery well!
You do have a way with little vignettes, Vicki. So simple, so beautiful. Love from the heat of Texas....
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you love to stitch up something - anything - with that gorgeous pink thread???
ReplyDeleteOh I adore Isle sur la Sorgue in the summer. Enjoy your stay there.
ReplyDeleteThe pink spools of thread are captivating. As for the lovely cups, a pot of Mariage Freres French Breakfast tea would serve them very well.
ReplyDeleteA touch of beautiful pink is always a good thing--even if 'just' viewed online. Like flowers and music...for the heart and mind.

Ah, a snippet of that pink thread could hold a button on my homemade cards. Pink makes the heart beat a little faster. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteTo die for Vicki. Who can't love that shade of pink!
ReplyDeleteOh Vicki,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pink treasures you came upon on your early morning walk. So pretty.
Our daughter has just come back after celebrating her 30th birthday in Paris. She had fabulous meals, one up the Eiffel Tower and bought some lovely pieces in the antique market. It's alright for some !!!! haha. XXXX
I'm not usually a 'pink' girl ... but it happens with me lately ... I even bought a bright pink desk on our traveling to France last June, ha, you never know. Love the cups, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty finds you came home with! If I lived anywhere near such a market, I'd be in trouble with so much temptation at hand.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wonder that market, too. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteVicki I love to see a grouping of special finds in a favorite color, like pink!
