  12. I'll never forget the Parisian sight of a gorgeous, distinguished French businessman in a camel-colored suit roaring toward me on his velib, tie flying behind him, briefcase over his shoulder, the cloud of cologne he left in his wake...

    I've often wondered if I could hook up a little cart to the back of a velib and haul my harp around Paris to play for gigs. When I move to Paris, that is. (notice I said "when"...)

  13. Leave it to the Parisians to use such an efficient an aerobic medium for transport. I find it interesting that so many French advertisements or services have the noun and the word "et moi" attached. "Mon vélib et moi" par exemple. Such a personal, egotistical appeal.
