They're such beauties. I have a couple of dozen Iceberg bushes along my front fence and they make such a pretty picture. It's nice to almost always have roses to bring inside :)
Vicki, you are making me rethink my "oh no, not again" attitude to Iceberg roses. Here, they look so beautiful that there is no resemblance to the standard varieties that bear the same name.
They look so gorgeous in such a big mass in the vase.
Must be dreamy, heady and beeeeeeautiful! I used to do that when we lived up north and the lilacs would be everywhere. Here there is a wall of honeysuckle that scents the air on one part of our walk.
There is nothing more beautiful that a garden rose. And yours are just stunning. I've been loving these rose posts, Vicki. It's like strolling through the garden with you. Wish I was soaking up the Provence sunshine and stopping to smell the roses! Jeanne
So beautiful. I just moved and miss my roses. This time of year I had them all over the house and loved giving bouquets to friends and family. Can't wait to plant my new rose garden.
Icebergs are so hardy; they last for ages cut and look beautiful in all stages, buds to full blown. I'm fortunate to have five standards and have an ongoing supply for months. They're nearly finished for this year, Vicki; I'll be pruning next month! xa
You do have a thing for flowers ! i miss them so much in my desert . when they arrive here those flowers look like poor emigrantand feel sorry for them .
Oh Vicki, I am SO envious.....roses don't like my garden, although we have a David Austin rose called St Swithin's which is growing up the wall in the front of our house and it is covered in old fashioned, perfumed, pale pink blooms so, I can't complain !! Your iceberg rose is so prolific. I am sure that your house smells as good as Westminster Abbey did when we went to see the wedding flowers. XXXX
Your iceberg roses are just beautiful! How do you make them last inside? When I cut mine all the petals seem to fall off straight away. Is there are trick to it?? Leahxx
Just had to stop in to say "hi" - I view every post you write and am delighted and inspired by them. Also have both books - but don't always comment....and I know that makes a blogger's day. Thanks for all you do and share ~
