The curve of the arch, the carving on the walls of Le museé des Alpilles, the colour of the stone and the texture of the cobbles makes this one of my favourite 'streets' in St Rémy de Provence.
Happy weekend.....xv

Oh! So beautiful :0) xxx
ReplyDeleteIs the groove in the road an old transport line or something? Does a little train drive shoppers around the bend? I'm intrigued! x
ReplyDeleteJust delightful Vicki - and I'm wondering what is around the corner? and that's why I love this photo - we can wonder! maybe it opens out into a little village square.
ReplyDelete.. oh yes, this is a lovely picture ... wouldn't it make a charming watercolor! I hope you are enjoying your spring.
ReplyDeleteJust that one picture represents so much beauty and such splended architecture..makes my heart sing!!

ReplyDeleteHi Vicki--thanks for the Spring wishes and for today's daily click. One of my recurring nightmares is being back in college having just found a "typo" on a page in a very important paper. I love my computer and "word" or whatever program that I use to type stuff....never want to go back to the old "key" way. Have a wonderful Spring Day. Mary
ReplyDeleteOh, I could stay there all day, what a beautiful sight (and photo). Also, love the daily click, so beautiful. XO
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful shot, Vicki! Love how the curve moves one's eye. Spring has definitely sprung here. And so thankful!

ReplyDeleteBONJOUR, VICKI-
ReplyDeleteYou captured the timeless shapes and colors of Provence.
I hope all is resolved with your shutter paints and colors!
I say...paint it new and let the heat and dust and sun take over--or get an artist to 'age' them for you. I know they'll look glorious.

It's so enchanting. One gets the feeling that the buildings were built first and then the roads creating a labyrinth.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful photo! Can't you feel the history there, too?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful muted colours, inevitably the legs want to follow the eye into the picture and down the cobbled laneway.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so gorgeous! I would love to wander around there! X
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and the charm of the cobblestone streets...I adore!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why this street is your favorite. I don't know of a street I don't like there!Maryanne xo

I must say, this photo brought me back to exactly a year ago - walking down that very same sweet street. Oh, how I want to come back - it was one of my very favorite trips!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing my friend,

The different colors in the stones and the different types of stones adds so much texture to this photo, and I love the little head up on the wall.
