spring is in the step...

The curve of the arch, the carving on the walls of Le museé des Alpilles, the colour of the stone and the texture of the cobbles makes this one of my favourite 'streets' in St Rémy de Provence.
Happy weekend.....xv

  1. Is the groove in the road an old transport line or something? Does a little train drive shoppers around the bend? I'm intrigued! x

  2. Just delightful Vicki - and I'm wondering what is around the corner? and that's why I love this photo - we can wonder! maybe it opens out into a little village square.

  7. Hi Vicki--thanks for the Spring wishes and for today's daily click. One of my recurring nightmares is being back in college having just found a "typo" on a page in a very important paper. I love my computer and "word" or whatever program that I use to type stuff....never want to go back to the old "key" way. Have a wonderful Spring Day. Mary

  14. BONJOUR, VICKI-

You captured the timeless shapes and colors of Provence.

I hope all is resolved with your shutter paints and colors!

I say...paint it new and let the heat and dust and sun take over--or get an artist to 'age' them for you. I know they'll look glorious.

  16. It's so enchanting. One gets the feeling that the buildings were built first and then the roads creating a labyrinth.

  25. The different colors in the stones and the different types of stones adds so much texture to this photo, and I love the little head up on the wall.
